Working with friends overseas
During the pandemic, our club wanted to help other International Rotary clubs. One club, the Rotary Club of Tema Meridian which has ties to our own member, Benny Ogunshola assisted our committee and Director Steve Brough provide much needed funds that would enable the club to purchase 12 sewing machines for the local community to use to make clothes for the underprivileged within their own community in Ghana.
The project was developed over three months and finally came to fruition with the club taking delivery of the sewing machines and putting them to good use.
The combined efforts of our International team along with the Rotarians from Tema Meridian was just what they needed.
