The Jewellery Ladies

12 years ago, the Rotary Club of Dingley Village ladies discovered an extraordinarily successful method of raising money for Rotary Projects the making and selling of jewellery.

With the girls attending many different courses over the years, the jewellery is of an extremely high quality. The different materials used are. Swarovski crystals and pearls, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and sterling silver chains. Also, we have local girls making beautiful one-off glass beads. All jewellery sold has a warranty of 12 months.

So far, the jewellery has raised over $100,000. The projects the ladies support with the jewellery sales focus more towards Maternal and Child Health projects locally and overseas.

Some of the Rotary projects supported so far are Wheelchairs for Kids, Hamlin Fistula Relief and Aid Fund, Ethiopia. Days for Girls, Vitamin A for children in Africa, The funding of Midwives in East Timor, the Milking Cow and Goat project in Meru, Kenya, St Jude’s School in Tanzania, The Smith family, Water pumps and toilets in India, The Rotary Foundation, Shelterbox and several other projects.

We started selling jewellery at the Dingley Village market and then were truly fortunate to be invited to the 2010 Rotary District Conference in Geelong. Since then, we have been to many Rotary District conferences including the International Convention in Sydney, Innerwheel conferences, Probus clubs, View clubs and private house parties.

The jewellery has been an extraordinarily successful project and we hope it can continue for many years to come. For further information about the jewellery please contact:
